The following chart displays the number of sales for 12 months to August, 2023 vs. 12 months prior. The CREA HPI Benchmark Prices are also for 12 months to August 2023 vs.12 months prior. The Home Price Index tracks price fluctuations more accurately as opposed to average or median prices which can be skewed depending on whether more lower priced or more higher priced homes sold.
